Herdwick Italian Buttero Leather Purse

Description

This purse is made out of the finest quality Walpier Buttero full grain vegetable tanned leather from one of Italy best tanneries. The inside is made from natural calf skin. The YKK brass zipper and Ritza – tiger waxed braided polyester thread combine to create this charming purse for all occasions, day or night.

It is large and spacious having 4 separate full width compartments. At the front, between the zipper pouch, there is one for normal notes, cheque, tickets and other papers. Then there is the zipper pouch, in the middle, to contain all your coins and other small items. On the back there is a card compartment for 6+ credit/membership cards and behind that a closed space for more important papers or notes.

Only Black is available at the moment and I may make other colours in the future. 

The Italian vegetable tanned leather is termed ‘Full Grain’.  It is the best quality of the hide and each piece comes with its own unique patterns arising from: skin folds, scars, veins and other markings. It is not like the cheaper commercial leathers that strip off the top layer, and then emboss a pattern back on, to make the leather look evenly textured and coloured.   Full grain leathers retain their original natural beauty and individuality unique to the animal it has been made from.
